The rear differential is the lowest fixed point on the J250's rear axle, and it stays that lowest point no matter how much lift or tyre you add, so rock shelves and drop-offs find it first. This Almont rear differential skid plate wraps the diff housing in 8mm certified EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin at 8 kg, taking the direct strikes that would otherwise crack a casing and drain the axle where you cannot fix it. It is the piece rock-crawling and overland J250s fit once they have seen what a diff pumpkin looks like after a season of trails.

Only if you can TIG weld: Almont requires weld spots to fix the bracket to the differential, which is why we point buyers to a fabricator or 4x4 specialist.
