A Vigo Hilux that works for a living leads with its front underside: into ruts, over site debris, up rock-strewn tracks. This Almont front skid plate is the wear part that takes those hits, cut from EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin in SportDuty 6 mm or HeavyDuty 8 mm and shaped in six bumper-matched versions - original bumper plus ARB, AFN, ACAYX, Fabrika and Geocruiser bars. The strike that would have crushed pipework or holed a radiator becomes a scar on a plate designed to collect scars.

Almont's rule of thumb: 6 mm for lighter 4x4 use, 8 mm for heavy vehicles and sustained overland or desert-and-rock work. A loaded working truck leans towards 8 mm.
