Keep your SportLid easy to open with equipment on top
Adding equipment to the lid can make it harder to raise and keep open. The ARB 176202 strut upgrade for the matched Hilux Double Cab SportLid installation is designed to maintain the opening and holding force with a constant lid load of up to 25kg.

Standard struts can serve occasional accessory use, but their opening and holding performance can reduce as weight is added. The upgrade is useful when compatible equipment stays on the lid regularly.
The 25kg figure describes the constant load the upgrade is designed to help open and hold. The permitted driving load of the lid and rack system is a separate limit. Count the bars, rack, holders and cargo within the complete installation requirements.
Use 176202 with the matched Toyota Hilux Double Cab 2016-2025 SportLid application. After fitting, check the full opening movement, latch operation and the load actually fitted on the lid.
