The plate weighs 8.4 kg and protects the front cooling and steering area. It gives vulnerable components a substantial alloy barrier against contact with rough ground without the material weight of steel of the same size and thickness.
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength protection with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, making it a worthwhile addition to a vehicle you want to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.

Wash off mud and road salt after use. Almont recommends pressure washing at least annually, or two or three times a year for regular muddy or salty use, and checking bolt tightness annually. Follow the fitting instructions when refitting a guard after maintenance.
This is the JB70 2018+ guard. The JB50 1998-2017 front guard is a separate product.
