The Old Man Emu EL106R rear leaf spring is designed around a constant 300kg added load, helping a suitably equipped vehicle support that weight as part of a matched suspension installation. It is for Toyota Hilux 2015 onwards with the applicable leaf-sprung rear suspension.

The 300kg description is a constant-load selection, not an occasional maximum or a legal payload increase. Count the equipment that stays fitted, including the tray or body equipment where applicable, and choose the springs around that regular added load.
If you normally travel lightly, a heavy constant-load spring can make the vehicle less comfortable. If the vehicle carries substantial equipment all the time, the right spring and damper combination helps support that load without asking a lighter spring to do a heavier job.
The Hilux 2015-onwards application uses OMEU53A U-bolts with the standard EL106R spring pack, plus the appropriate bushes. Rogue/GR Sport wide-track vehicles use a different supporting hardware and damper selection, so treat those as a separate installation.
Fit matched springs across the rear axle and select dampers for the spring and load. This is an individual leaf-spring component listing; assemble the correct spring pair, dampers and fitting hardware for the vehicle. The complete setup needs its clearances, fastener torques and driveline alignment checked during installation.
The application guide gives approximately 40mm rear lift for the matched Hilux setup. Final height depends on the vehicle and the weight it carries, so choose the load class before chasing a particular lift figure.
A spring upgrade changes how the suspension supports its load. Stay within the vehicle's legal axle and overall mass limits; a separate approved process is needed for any formal increase in those limits.

No. The 300kg class is for added weight carried regularly. Choose the spring for the weight of permanently fitted equipment and the load you carry regularly. Occasional extra luggage should not be treated as constant load.
No. Fitting the spring alone does not change the vehicle's approved axle or overall mass limits.
A constant-load spring is selected for a vehicle carrying that additional weight. A lighter spring is usually the more appropriate choice when you normally drive without the specified load.
Choose dampers matched to the spring and your regular load. The correct damper and hardware selection also depends on the Hilux version.
