Choose the front ride height that suits your Toyota
OME 4005 front coils give you a particular combination of spring rate and free height for the matching Toyota suspension application. The useful result comes from selecting the coils with the correct vehicle, accessory load, struts and spring-seat position.
SKU: XSC4005
Choose the correct spring and damper combination
In the corresponding 2015-onwards diesel Hilux chart, 4005 appears in a 40mm no/light-bar application and a 20mm steel-bar-and-winch application using the specified configurations. Those applications exclude the 2023-onwards Rogue, GR Sport and wide-track versions. That is why the code cannot honestly be described as one fixed lift height for every Toyota.
In this Hilux installation, the coil-seat helix must face away from the sway bar to maintain clearance. Use the spring-seat spacer/height settings specified for the actual accessory load and chosen OME strut.
Made for regular use
Micro-alloyed spring steel, controlled forming and a durable black powder-coated finish give the coils a consistent shape and corrosion-resistant surface. The coils are double scragged to reduce residual stress, shot peened and formed on computer-controlled mandrels for consistency. They are designed and manufactured in Australia.
The 4005 specification is 103N/mm spring rate, 17mm bar diameter and 375 / 375mm A/B free height. Free height is measured before installation; it is not the amount the vehicle will be raised.
Choose by load as well as height
The 4000 coils have the same 103N/mm rate but a 385mm free height, compared with 375mm here. A 10mm difference in free height is a part specification, not an automatic 10mm difference in installed vehicle lift.
Have the finished suspension checked for correct seating, travel, clearance and alignment. The vehicle's legal gross weight and axle limits remain unchanged by a spring replacement.

Frequently asked questions
Is the free height the lift amount?
No. Free height describes the uninstalled spring. Vehicle weight, spring-seat position and the complete suspension combination determine the installed lift.
Should I choose only by spring rate?
Choose the complete application. Rate, free height, vehicle weight, accessory load and damper combination all affect the result.
Will new springs increase my legal payload?
The vehicle's existing legal gross and axle limits remain in place.
Do I need matching dampers?
Use the dampers and spring-seat arrangement specified for the exact OME application. Professional fitting and alignment help complete the upgrade properly.
