Get a recovery tool that is practical to use off road
Synthetic rope and wireless control make this Revo 10,000 lb winch a practical addition to a correctly equipped vehicle. The gearbox-mounted brake keeps braking heat away from the rope drum, while the free-spool clutch makes it easier to pull line out to the anchor. It gives you a powered recovery option for the times that grip alone is not enough.

Rope handling and controlled load holding
The synthetic rope is easier to handle without the weight of an equivalent steel line, while still needing protection from abrasion and sharp edges. A gearbox-mounted proportional friction brake holds the rated winch load and keeps braking heat away from the rope drum. The zero-drag design also allows powered line-out under no load without braking heat building in the drum.
Position the controls to suit the recovery
The sealed IP67 wireless hand controller gives you more freedom to choose a safe control position. The adjustable gearbox and versatile control-box mounting help the installer arrange access around the vehicle's winch bar. The spring-loaded clutch uses a no-lift design for straightforward free-spooling.
What the pull rating means
The 10,000 lb rating is the first-layer line pull, rather than a maximum vehicle weight. Available pull falls as rope builds up on the drum, and the force needed for recovery depends on ground resistance, slope and the situation. Appropriate anchors, rated recovery equipment and correct technique remain part of every pull.
Fitting and looking after the winch
Fit the winch to a rated mount or compatible winch bar with adequate clearance, correctly sized electrical cables and an appropriate battery supply. Professional installation brings the mount, fairlead, clutch access, isolation and control-box position together.
Inspect the rope, hook, cables and fixings after use. Keep the line clean and neatly wound, follow the duty and cooling guidance in the supplied manual, and use the winch for its intended recovery work. It is not a lifting hoist.

Frequently asked questions
Does the rating mean it can recover any vehicle below that weight?
The 10,000 lb figure is the first-layer line pull. Recovery resistance varies with the terrain, slope and how the vehicle is stuck, and pull reduces as layers build up on the drum. Select the installation and recovery equipment for the expected task.
Do I need a winch bar or a rated mounting plate?
Yes. The mounting arrangement must be designed for the winch and the loads it creates, with a fairlead, wiring and clearances suited to the installation.
How do I keep the rope in good condition?
Inspect for cuts, abrasion and contamination, clean out grit, keep it away from sharp edges and rewind it neatly under the appropriate tension.
Why is the brake outside the rope drum?
The gearbox-mounted brake keeps braking heat away from the synthetic rope. It still needs to be used within the winch's operating and cooling guidance.
Can I use it to lift a suspended load?
It is a vehicle-recovery winch, not a lifting hoist. Use it for its intended recovery work with suitable equipment and technique.
