The Ergomed ES is the higher-specification Ergomed. Its defining feature is electro-pneumatically adjustable side bolsters on both the backrest and the seat cushion, so lateral support can be dialled in rather than fixed. Every ES part number in RECARO's 2024 price list is also supplied with the RECARO climate package, so seat ventilation and heating are included rather than optional, and the ES is offered in a wider trim range than the Ergomed E.

Installation and compatibility

  • Supplied as one seat. A vehicle-specific RECARO baseframe is required and is not included.
  • Some baseframes are only available with manual rail adjustment when used with the Ergomed ES.
  • The climate package and electric functions need a power feed, so plan the wiring with the baseframe.

Approval and safety

  • The Ergomed E and ES are certified and recommended by the AGR (Campaign for Healthier Backs) and the Federal Association of German Back Schools.
  • AGR (Aktion Gesunder Ruecken / Campaign for Healthier Backs) seal is carried by the Ergomed E, Style Topline XL, Sport C and Podium.
