RECARO Ergomed ES Heated and Ventilated Comfort Seat

A seat you can settle into for the whole journey.

Comfort starts with a seat that fits you. The RECARO Ergomed ES lets you adjust the support around your back and thighs, extend the cushion beneath your legs and set your seating position electrically. Add warmth on a cold morning or ventilation as the day heats up: both are included. It is an upgrade you can appreciate on the daily drive as well as a long touring trip. This is the version without an integrated side airbag.

Support that follows your shape

A fixed bolster can only fit one way. Here, electro-pneumatic bolsters in both the backrest and cushion let you adjust how closely the seat holds your torso and thighs. The dual-chamber lumbar support shapes the lower-back support, while the extendable cushion gives you more control over how your legs rest. That range of adjustment is the reason to spend more on the ES: you can refine the seat around your body instead of accepting the original seat's contours.

Warm mornings, more comfortable summer drives

The climate package brings heating and ventilation to every ES trim we offer. Heating takes the chill out of the seat; ventilation moves air through it to help manage warmth and moisture on longer journeys. Electric height and tilt adjustment help you find a natural position behind the wheel, alongside the adjustable headrest and backrest release on both sides. The ventilation uses moving air, rather than a refrigerated cooling unit.

Choose your finish

Nardo/Artista cloth is available in black or grey. Leather options include Artista centres, full black leather or Dinamica centres. The Silver Spacer 3D/LED version adds its distinctive centre material and lighting detail. The support and climate functions remain part of the ES specification across the trims.

Fitting it properly

Supplied as one seat. The vehicle-specific baseframe and any required sidemounts are additional. We can match these to your car and seating position; the installation must also account for the original belts, airbags and occupancy equipment. Use a competent seat installer for the mechanical and electrical work. This version has no integrated side airbag. A car requiring the SAB seat must use the appropriate version. Fore-and-aft rail adjustment depends on the baseframe; not every installation has electric sliding rails.

Looking after the seat

Vacuum loose dirt regularly and clean the upholstery with products suited to its material. Use a soft cloth and avoid soaking the foam or scrubbing suede-style surfaces. Keep adjustment mechanisms clear and have any looseness in the seat or mounting checked.
