Body-lifted petrol Touaregs and Cayennes are built to be used hard off road, and the gearbox and transfer case sit exactly where that use lands. This Almont plate is cut specifically for body-lifted, petrol-engined vehicles across four platforms - Volkswagen Touareg 7L 2004-2010 and 7P 2010-2018, Porsche Cayenne 9PA 2003-2010 and 92A 2010-2017 - putting 14 kg of 8 mm EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin under the transmission. Almont's standard plates cannot fit body-lifted vehicles at all, which makes this one of the few ways to armour a lifted build properly.
Three things must match before ordering: a body lift kit fitted, a petrol engine, and one of the four listed platforms. Standard-height vehicles take Almont's regular gearbox plates, such as the Touareg all-engines / Cayenne V6 diesel version, and V8 twin-catalyst vehicles have their own plate. Pair it with the body-lift front plate and note that on many models the gearbox plate's mountings link to the front plate.
