The certified AW5083 H111 guard protects these exposed front components with high-strength alloy. It is a practical addition for a Y61 you intend to keep using off road, without carrying the material weight of an equal-size steel plate.
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength alloy protection without the material weight of steel of the same size and thickness. The plate will not develop red rust if its surface is scratched, so it is a good choice for a vehicle you intend to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.
This is the 2003-2010 application. Earlier Y61s use a different front guard.
