The plate weighs 12 kg and uses certified AW5083 H111 duralumin. It protects the tank underneath with high-strength alloy, keeping material weight below steel of the same size and thickness and avoiding red rust where the plate gets scratched.
The material is a large part of what makes Almont protection worth considering. Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin combines high strength with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, helping it stay a worthwhile long-term addition to your vehicle. Mud and road salt should still be washed off, including from the separate steel brackets and fixings.
