Under the middle of a D22 sit the manual gearbox and transfer case, hanging exactly where a rutted crest or rock shelf touches down first. This Almont gearbox and transfer skid plate for the manual Nissan Navara D22 is 9.5 kg of certified EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin in 8 mm HeavyDuty grade, so the casings that keep an honest old truck moving sit behind sacrificial plate instead of taking the hit themselves.
Gear oil on the trail means the day is over; a gouge in 8 mm duralumin means nothing at all. Almont bolts the plate to the D22's original chassis holes with steel brackets and pre-installed bolts, mounts designed to absorb impacts and vibration, and everyday tools handle the install: 17 mm and 13 mm spanners or sockets with 5 mm and 6 mm Allen keys. Cover the nose too with the D22 front skid plate.

This version is the manual-gearbox plate. Almont builds gearbox plates around the transmission fitted, so send us your registration and we will check what suits an automatic before you order.
There is no linked-fitting note on this part, so it stands alone, but most owners fit front and gearbox plates together and save a second visit to the workshop.
