Match the inlet and outlet correctly
The inlet is 3-1/2" inside diameter; the outlet is 3-1/2" outside diameter. Those are different joint interfaces, even though the nominal number is the same. The muffler is directional, so follow the intended flow orientation when fitting.
Allow room for the complete body
The body has a 5" outside diameter and an 8" body length. Overall length is 16". Match the footprint and connections to the exhaust design, and check the current rules and sound limits for the event you intend to enter.
