Ground an L200 on a crest and it is the gearbox and transfer case that take the blow, the two castings a working truck can least afford to crack. This Almont gearbox and transfer skid plate covers the Mitsubishi L200 2.4 DID 2015-19, the 2.3 DID from 2020 and the Fiat Fullback 2.4 JTD, manual or automatic alike, with 10 kg of certified EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin in 8 mm HeavyDuty grade.
The centre of the wheelbase is the natural grounding point on a break-over, and the casings there fail expensively. Almont bolts this plate to the original chassis holes with steel brackets and pre-installed bolts, mounts designed to absorb impacts and vibration, and ordinary hand tools do the job. Run it with the L200 and Fullback front skid plate and finish with the fuel tank plate.
