A Unimog 4000 or 5000 series goes where recovery is measured in days, and its front underside leads it into every metre of that terrain. This Almont front skid plate for the Unimog 4000-5000 is cut in 10mm duralumin, the competition thickness Almont produces in its AW7075 T6 alloy with robotic laser cutting, reserved in the range for the most extreme duty. At 7.1 kg it adds nothing a Unimog would notice while putting the hardest plate Almont cuts between rock and truck.

The plate covers the frontal strike zone rather than the whole chassis, and 10mm hard alloy over that zone is the densest protection in the Almont range.
