The rear differential is the lowest hard point on an all-wheel-drive Sprinter's back axle, and it trails through every rut, rock crest and ford the route serves up. This Almont plate shields that housing across the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2 W906 CDI 4x4, Sprinter 3 W907 4x4 and Sprinter W907 VS30 4Matic, covering the 2.2, 3.0 and 2.0Matic engine versions on the later vans. Cut from certified EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin in your choice of 6mm SportDuty or 8mm HeavyDuty, it puts sacrificial metal between trail and diff so a strike means a scuffed plate, not gear oil on the ground.

Almont's rule of thumb is 6mm for lighter use and 8mm for heavy vans and continental overland work. If the van is a loaded camper doing rocky miles, take the 8mm.
