The W906 CDI 4x4 is the van that built the Sprinter's overland reputation, and the front underside is where that reputation gets tested first on rock steps, ruts and steep loose climbs. This Almont front skid plate for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2 W906 CDI 4x4, 2006-2016, is cut from certified EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin with a choice of 6mm SportDuty or 8mm HeavyDuty thickness, each in two front-plate versions to suit the van's configuration. The kit bolts to original chassis points with steel brackets and pre-installed bolts and carries a 3-year warranty against cracking.
Continue rearwards with the W906/W907 4x4 gearbox and transfer plate and the 4x4 fuel tank plate.

Almont recommends 6mm for lighter off-road use and 8mm for heavier vehicles and long overland routes with rock and desert. A converted 4x4 Sprinter is a heavy van, so most tourers take the 8mm.
