Look after the original fuel tank beneath your Ranger PX2 or BT-50 II with this Almont 6 mm duralumin guard. It adds a substantial barrier against rough-ground contact on a pickup that needs to keep working as well as enjoying weekends away.

The guard weighs 12.2 kg and uses certified AW5083 H111 duralumin. It protects the original tank with high-strength alloy that will not develop red rust where the surface gets scratched, a useful quality for a truck used through muddy and salty conditions.
The material is a large part of what makes Almont protection worth considering. Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin combines high strength with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, helping it stay a worthwhile long-term addition to your vehicle. Mud and road salt should still be washed off, including from the separate steel brackets and fixings.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
