The G.O.A.T Offroad PX Ranger And BT50 4.625 Differential Gear Set changes the final-drive ratio for the specified Ford Ranger PX1 and Mazda BT50 II applications. Shorter 4.625 gearing is intended to recover some of the low-speed response lost when a vehicle moves to larger tyres. This is a full gear-set purchase rather than an electronic correction, so axle specification and professional differential setup are central to the buying decision.
Best For
Vehicles running larger-than-standard tyres
Builds where mechanical gearing is being matched to tyre diameter
Owners planning front and rear differential work together
Installations handled by a differential specialist
Mechanical Ratio Change Rather Than A Speedometer Adjustment
Recalibrating tyre size can correct displayed speed and shift information, but it does not change the torque multiplication inside the axle. Compared with software correction alone, a 4.625 gear set physically shortens the final drive and requires precision installation.
Before You Order
Before ordering, confirm the vehicle, year, body style, engine or chassis details match the listing.
Confirm the exact axle and differential specification, existing ratio, tyre diameter and intended use. Ask the installer which bearings, seals, shims and fluids should be replaced during setup.
Plan Both The Installation And The Resulting Engine Speed
Shorter gearing can improve low-speed control with larger tyres, but it also changes cruising rpm and overall driveline behaviour. Calculate the ratio against the actual tyre rolling diameter before committing to the conversion.
