A responsive V6 makes towing and loaded driving more satisfying. Our custom V6 TDI remap for the first-generation Volkswagen Amarok 2H focuses on engine response and torque delivery from your 3.0-litre diesel, with Remote or Hub Dyno options for your vehicle.
Custom tuning for your V6 version
Tell us about the trailer you tow, the equipment you carry and the parts fitted to your truck. We take those priorities into account as we work on engine delivery, with your Amarok's actual data guiding the calibration. Original vehicle load, axle and towing ratings remain unchanged.
First-generation Amarok 3.0 TDI V6 applications include 165 kW (224 PS) and 190 kW (258 PS) versions, where fitted. We identify your version, then use the vehicle data to tune for its fuel, hardware and normal workload.
Remote uses the tuning device and mobile app for guided logging and flashing. This package covers engine ECU calibration. Transmission-specific work needs its own agreed scope, so let us know if you want to discuss that as well.
Our custom tunes include up to four revisions in the first 30 days, followed by log reviews at 3, 6 and 12 months. Your feedback helps us refine the calibration and check how your vehicle is running after you have had time to use it.
Physical upgrades for your vehicle
We also offer physical upgrades for most vehicles.
A reusable filter for your V6
Our Ramair PRORAM PPF-1196 panel filter lets you keep the original airbox and replace its paper element with a reusable pleated filter. For the V6 diesel, the listed application is the first-generation 2H from 2016-2021.
The filter is an optional separate upgrade for your original airbox.
If you're looking to take yours further, tell us what you have in mind. We can help you choose suitable parts and plan the tuning around them.

What you get
Remote
Custom remote calibration with the tuning device, required licence and delivery included. You keep the device.
Hub Dyno
In-person custom calibration on the car hub dyno, with controlled-load testing and vehicle data guiding the work.
How remote tuning works
With remote tuning, we can work with you without a trip to the dyno. First, we confirm support for your vehicle and check its fitted hardware and the fuel you plan to use. We then guide you through reading and loading the calibration with the device. Send us the requested logs and your feedback so we can check the response and refine the tune.
Remote includes the tuning device, required licence and delivery. You keep the device.
Collect any requested data in a suitable, safe and lawful setting, following the tuner instructions. If a reading or a running concern needs attention, tell us before continuing so it can be assessed.
Your dyno session
Choose Hub Dyno for an in-person session on the hub dyno. We use controlled-load measurements and live data to check the response as we adjust the calibration, with your own vehicle and fitted parts present throughout.

Get ready for your tune
Have any warning lights, misfires or running faults addressed before tuning. Tell us the fitted parts and intended fuel, then use that agreed fuel during calibration and afterwards. Speak to us before later hardware or fuel changes that affect the tune; further calibration may be needed.
Tuning is a vehicle modification and can affect warranty cover. Discuss it with your insurer and warranty provider before the work.
Support after your custom tune
Once you have had a chance to use your vehicle, tell us how it feels. Our custom tunes include up to four revisions within 30 days, plus log reviews at 3, 6 and 12 months to check how everything is running.
No fixed gain is guaranteed. We develop the engine calibration for your own V6 Amarok, with condition, fuel, hardware, temperatures and tuning data affecting the result.
Is this the right service for a 2.0 TDI?
This page is for the 3.0 TDI V6. For a 2.0 TDI, see our first-generation Amarok diesel ECU remap, which covers the 2.0 and 3.0 V6 applications within the stated first-generation range.
What if I change parts after tuning?
Tell us before fitting parts that affect engine operation or fuelling. The calibration was developed for the current combination, so further tuning may be needed.
What support is included after the custom tune?
Up to four revisions within 30 days, followed by log reviews at 3, 6 and 12 months to check how everything is running.
Will it affect my warranty?
It can. Treat the tune as a vehicle modification and discuss cover with your warranty provider and insurer before the work.
