Your Platinum should be enjoyable to drive with your equipment on board as well as on the commute. Our Ford Ranger Platinum 3.0 V6 diesel remap combines engine tuning, cooling-fan settings and transmission shift optimisation. We work on the response when you accelerate and the way the gearbox changes gear, with Remote or Dyno (St Neots) tuning available.
It is the way the engine pulls and the gearbox responds together that you feel from the driver's seat. Tell us about the driving you do, from an everyday journey to towing or a loaded trip away. We use that context when developing the calibration for your truck. We consider usable mid-range torque and shift behaviour together for that load. Your original vehicle load and towing ratings still apply.
The Platinum V6 tuning service offers 320 HP and 734 Nm potential on suitable vehicles. The final result depends on fuel, hardware, condition, temperatures and logged data. Fuel, hardware, engine condition and vehicle data guide the work. Preparation includes ECU health logging and applicable OEM ECU updates, followed by engine calibration, cooling-fan settings and transmission shift optimisation.
The software tune retains the factory DPF and AdBlue equipment. The supported route needs no ECU swap or additional performance hardware, so you can have the truck calibrated in its existing specification. For Remote, the OBD2 tuning device works with your phone for guided logging and flashing.
Our custom tunes include up to four revisions in the first 30 days, followed by log reviews at 3, 6 and 12 months. Your feedback helps us refine the calibration and check how your vehicle is running after you have had time to use it.
We also offer physical upgrades for most vehicles.
If your Platinum is a 2023+ 3.0 V6 diesel, our Process West intercooler and pipe kit is worth considering for long climbs with a trailer or regular loaded trips. The larger cooler and matching pipework add charge-air cooling capacity to support sustained use of the V6's performance.
It is an optional hardware upgrade, purchased and fitted separately from this tune. We can plan the calibration around it or your existing intercooler.

With remote tuning, we can work with you without a trip to the dyno. First, we confirm support for your vehicle and check its fitted hardware and the fuel you plan to use. We then guide you through reading and loading the calibration with the device. Send us the requested logs and your feedback so we can check the response and refine the tune.
Remote includes the tuning device, required licence and delivery. You keep the device.
Collect any requested data in a suitable, safe and lawful setting, following the tuner instructions. If a reading or a running concern needs attention, tell us before continuing so it can be assessed.
Choose Dyno (St Neots) for an in-person session on the hub dyno. We use controlled-load measurements and live data to check the response as we adjust the calibration, with your own vehicle and fitted parts present throughout.

Have any warning lights, misfires or running faults addressed before tuning. Tell us the fitted parts and intended fuel, then use that agreed fuel during calibration and afterwards. Speak to us before later hardware or fuel changes that affect the tune; further calibration may be needed.
Tuning is a vehicle modification and can affect warranty cover. Discuss it with your insurer and warranty provider before the work.
