Your MS-RT has the looks; a more responsive V6 helps you enjoy the drive to match. Our Ford Ranger MS-RT ECU remap combines engine tuning, cooling-fan settings and transmission shift optimisation for your 3.0 V6 diesel, with attention to the pull you feel when you accelerate and the way the gearbox changes gear.
Physical upgrades for your vehicle
We also offer physical upgrades for most vehicles.

What you get
Remote
Custom remote calibration with the tuning device, required licence and delivery included. You keep the device.
Dyno (St Neots)
In-person custom calibration on the car hub dyno, with controlled-load testing and vehicle data guiding the work.
Usable torque and well-matched gear changes
Previously tuned MS-RT V6 diesels have achieved an average of 320 HP and 760 Nm. These are previous-vehicle output averages, not gains or a guaranteed result for your truck. Engine condition, starting calibration, fuel, hardware, temperatures and calibration data affect the outcome. We include revised cooling-fan settings and transmission shift optimisation, so the work considers how your V6 responds and changes gear as well as its output.
We work on throttle response, boost control and torque delivery, taking your daily driving and regular towing or loads into account. Fuel-efficiency optimisation at cruise and under load is also a calibration aim, without a promised fuel saving. Your vehicle's original towing, loading and axle ratings still apply.
The software tune retains the factory DPF and AdBlue equipment. No ECU removal, ECU swap or mandatory extra performance hardware is needed for the supported service. With Remote, the OBD2 tuning device works with your phone for guided logging and flashing.
Preparation includes ECU health logging and applicable OEM ECU updates. Tell us about any faults first, and make sure the air filter, air box, DPF and cooling system are in good condition.
How remote tuning works
With remote tuning, we can work with you without a trip to the dyno. First, we confirm support for your vehicle and check its fitted hardware and the fuel you plan to use. We then guide you through reading and loading the calibration with the device. Send us the requested logs and your feedback so we can check the response and refine the tune.
Remote includes the tuning device, required licence and delivery. You keep the device.
Collect any requested data in a suitable, safe and lawful setting, following the tuner instructions. If a reading or a running concern needs attention, tell us before continuing so it can be assessed.
Your dyno session
Choose Dyno (St Neots) for in-person calibration on the hub dyno. The session includes a baseline run, live calibration, before-and-after performance graphs and a road test. You can see how your own truck responds as the tune is developed and validated, with its fitted hardware present throughout.
We recommend leaving the vehicle for 24 hours where possible. An arranged same-day session needs at least five hours.
Support after your custom tune
Share how your truck feels in everyday use as well as when loaded. Our custom tunes include up to four revisions within 30 days, plus log reviews at 3, 6 and 12 months to check how everything is running.
You can also join our Hoonies Adrenaline Community for support, discounts, competitions and events.

Fuel preparation
Premium diesel from a reputable supplier before, during and after tuning
Get ready for your tune
Use premium diesel from a reputable supplier before, during and after tuning. Keep the air filter and air box clean, and have the DPF, cooling radiators and fins in good condition.
Have any warning lights, misfires or running faults addressed before tuning. Tell us the fitted parts and intended fuel, then use that agreed fuel during calibration and afterwards. Speak to us before later hardware or fuel changes that affect the tune; further calibration may be needed.
Tuning is a vehicle modification and can affect warranty cover. Discuss it with your insurer and warranty provider before the work.
Talk to us about your tune
Tell us about your Ford Ranger MS-RT 3.0L V6 diesel, its fitted parts and what you would like from it. Get in touch with us and we will help you choose the right tuning route.

Frequently asked questions
Can I have my MS-RT tuned for towing and daily driving?
Yes. Tell us about your usual towing load and daily driving so we can take them into account when calibrating your MS-RT. The vehicle's original towing, loading and axle ratings still apply.
What does the workshop option involve?
The St Neots hub dyno route includes before-and-after testing and custom validation. Allow 24 hours where possible; a same-day booking needs at least five hours, arranged in advance.
Can I return to the original calibration?
The remote tool supports a guided return to the saved original calibration. Speak to us before restoring it or after a dealer software update so we can agree the correct file and process. Returning to stock does not guarantee warranty cover or make the modification invisible.
What if I change parts after tuning?
Tell us before fitting parts that affect engine operation or fuelling. The calibration was developed for the current combination, so further tuning may be needed.
What support is included after the custom tune?
Up to four revisions within 30 days, followed by log reviews at 3, 6 and 12 months to check how everything is running.
Will it affect my warranty?
It can. Treat the tune as a vehicle modification and discuss cover with your warranty provider and insurer before the work.
