A well-kept 80 or 105 Series is a vehicle worth protecting. This Almont guard covers the gearbox and transfer case on the listed Toyota and Lexus applications, giving you 8 mm certified duralumin beneath the centre of the truck. It is a substantial addition for rough tracks, longer journeys and the equipment you carry with you.

The transmission is an important part of the Land Cruiser's appeal and ability. Giving it a dedicated guard makes sense when you use the truck on rocks and uneven ground. This HeavyDuty plate weighs 19.5 kg, so plan safe support for the plate during fitting and removal.
The material is a large part of what makes Almont protection worth considering. Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin combines high strength with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, helping it stay a worthwhile long-term addition to your vehicle. Mud and road salt should still be washed off, including from the separate steel brackets and fixings.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
