A Defender is a vehicle you want to keep taking away. This Almont guard protects the gearbox and transfer case on the listed 90 and 110 TD5 / TD4 applications, with 8 mm certified duralumin forming a substantial barrier underneath. It is a useful addition when your trips include rocks, ruts and uneven ground.

This HeavyDuty plate weighs 12.5 kg and protects the transmission area behind the front of your Defender. It is the 90 / 110 reference, while the longer 130 and 147 applications have a separate part. Matching the body and engine details keeps the choice straightforward.
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength alloy protection without the material weight of steel of the same size and thickness. The plate will not develop red rust if its surface is scratched, so it is a good choice for a vehicle you intend to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
