Long-wheelbase Defenders earn their keep loaded, and they ground out over crests and ridges sooner than a 90 ever will. When the chassis midline drags, the gearbox and transfer case are what it drags on. This Almont plate bolts 8mm of EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin under that stretch of the truck, so rocks, ruts and buried debris hit HeavyDuty plate instead of the transmission. One 12.5 kg part covers the 130 and 147 in TD5 and Puma TD4 2.2/2.4 forms.

Non-original raised suspension is fine. Almont rules out modified chassis, driveshafts or links, altered transmission or anti-roll-bar mounts, and body-lift or diff-drop kits.
