The nose of a Defender arrives at every obstacle first. Behind the front crossmember sit the radiators, the front differential, the engine and the steering box, and any of them can end a trip if a rock step or buried stump gets there before you lift off. This Almont plate closes that area off with 8mm of EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin at 9.5 kg, and one part number covers the whole TD5 and Puma TD4 family: Defender 90, 110, 130 and 147.
