This Almont plate exists for exactly that risk: 9.5 kg of 6mm EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin covering the underside of the JL 4xe's lithium battery compartment, so rocks, ruts and thrown debris meet sacrificial plate before they get anywhere near the hybrid's core.
