The Commander is the Jeep people buy to take everyone along, and its tall, boxy body hides the same truth as every 4x4: the front underside meets the terrain first. This Almont plate armours the Commander's nose with 14.7 kg of 8mm EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin, a HeavyDuty barrier for a family truck that spends weekends on lanes, campsites and slipways. The plate collects the strikes; the seven seats stay in service.

It strengthens it. The harder front-end components are to source, the more sense it makes to let an 8mm plate take the strikes instead.
The plate uses the Commander's original chassis holes with supplied brackets and pre-installed bolts, and instructions are in the box. Typical tools are 13mm and 17mm sockets plus 5mm and 6mm Allen keys.
