Late B8 Audis moved to the EA888 Gen 3 engine and dropped the MAF sensor — which is why this MST Performance cold air intake exists as its own kit. Built for the 2012-2015 A4 (B8) and A5 (8T) 1.8 and 2.0 TFSI without MAF, it swaps the standard setup for aluminium pipework and a heat-shielded washable dry filter, giving the facelift cars the induction response and sound the factory left on the table.
Because the Gen 3 EA888 meters air differently, its intake geometry is not interchangeable with earlier cars — MST engineers this version around the no-MAF layout so everything lines up and runs as intended. Driving a 2008-2012 car with the MAF sensor? That is the Gen 1-2 with-MAF kit instead.

2012 is the changeover year between Gen 2 (with MAF) and Gen 3 (without). Look for the MAF sensor housing in the intake tract, or send us your registration and we will confirm which kit suits your car.
It is washable and reusable — clean it around every 20,000 km and replace at around 60,000 km rather than binning a paper element each year.
The A5 (8T) 1.8 and 2.0 TFSI with the Gen 3 no-MAF engine from 2012-2015 is a supported application alongside the A4.
