Enjoy your Civic Type R or Integra Type S with a brake setup chosen for road use or time on circuit. This EBC Racing package upgrades the front discs to a floating two-piece design and includes matching rear discs and pad sets for the listed FK8, FL5 and Type S applications.
Why a floating disc makes a difference
As braking heat builds, the friction ring needs room to expand. EBC's SD-Drive bobbins let the ring move independently of its centre bell, reducing thermal stress. The floating discs use high-carbon G3500 friction rings, directional cooling vanes and anti-rattle clips at the bobbins.
Replace the worn ring and keep a serviceable bell
A two-piece disc can also make sense over the life of the car. When its friction ring reaches the wear limit, a serviceable centre bell can be retained and the correct replacement ring fitted. You are investing in a disc design that can be maintained, rather than replacing the complete assembly every time the friction ring wears out.
Your front and rear disc combination
The front discs use the floating two-piece design. The rear pair is SG2163: 305 x 11 mm solid swept-groove rear discs. You get new discs and pads for both axles, with the floating-disc heat-management and replacement-ring benefits at the front.

- Choose from the pad compounds offered for that application. Each fitment row identifies the eligible kit codes.
Which pad compound suits you?
Yellowstuff: We recommend Yellowstuff for fast-road use, with strong cold bite and a high-friction feel. It is the road-focused choice here. EBC no longer recommends Yellowstuff for track use on most cars because of its longer bedding process.
Bluestuff: Bluestuff is the choice for drivers who also want to enjoy short track sessions. It bites from cold once bedded and offers a higher heat margin than Yellowstuff. Bed it correctly before track use and check remaining pad material frequently during a track day.
RP-1: RP-1 gives you a more progressive race-pad response, helping you apply and release braking pressure smoothly. Choose it for track use when you prefer a controllable build-up of braking force rather than a very sharp initial bite.
RP-X: RP-X gives a stronger initial bite and more braking response for a given pedal effort than RP-1. It suits track and race drivers who want that more immediate response. It is a different feel, rather than an automatic upgrade over RP-1.
The mixed-compound options supplied here are RP-1 front / Bluestuff rear, RP-X front / Bluestuff rear. Choose the complete front and rear combination for your kit code.
RP-1 and RP-X are race compounds and are not ECE R90 approved. We recommend them for track and race use.

Fitting and bedding in
Have the kit fitted by a qualified installer and follow EBC's instructions for the selected components. Fit handed discs on the correct sides and use the correct mounting hardware. Follow the bedding procedure for the actual pad compound supplied.

Are larger calipers included?
The package supplies the listed discs and pads for the stated brake applications. Calipers are a separate purchase; the original brake configuration and any conversion requirements in the fitment table must match.
Can I replace the friction rings later?
Yes, on the floating two-piece discs, a serviceable centre bell can be retained when the correct replacement friction ring is fitted. This applies to the floating discs in your kit, rather than to a conventional one-piece rear disc.
Are RP-1 and RP-X road-pad options?
They are race compounds and are not ECE R90 approved. We recommend them for track and race use. Where available for your brake application, Yellowstuff is the fast-road choice and Bluestuff offers a road-and-track alternative after correct bedding.
