An LS conversion can keep the appeal of a classic A-body while changing the engine you enjoy. Kooks 29202400 gives the conversion a purpose-made header, with 1-7/8-inch 304 stainless primaries and 3-inch merge collectors.

Position the engine for the fit
Use adjustable LS conversion mounts with up to 2 inches of fore/aft adjustment. Mount shims may be needed to achieve the engine height. Establish that position with your installer before aligning the headers and connecting exhaust.
Plan the connections
The collectors use O2 fittings and ball-and-socket connections. Match the connecting pipes to the 3-inch collectors, with steering, suspension and body clearance checked on the actual conversion.
