A good off-road trip should leave you thinking about the drive, not a damaged shock sensor. This pair of Almont guards protects the original rear FOX shock absorbers and their compression and extension sensors on your 2023+ Bronco Wildtrak or Badlands.
Useful protection beyond the centre of the axle
The rear shocks and sensors sit away from the middle of the vehicle, so they need their own protection. These two duralumin guards give those components dedicated coverage while keeping the material weight below steel of the same size and thickness.
Choose your version
Our HeavyDuty 8 mm option is SKU PDFBRS; the SportDuty 6 mm option is PDFBRS6. Both complete kits weigh 5 kg. The manufacturer also references PDFBRS8 for the 8 mm version; our selectable SKU remains PDFBRS.
Why we recommend Almont
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength protection with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, making it a worthwhile addition to a vehicle you want to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.
Almont has specialised in underbody protection since 1992, with input from vehicle preparers involved in the Dakar Rally and other rally-raid events. Designed and manufactured in Spain, its protection brings that specialist experience to the vehicle you drive and the trips you want to enjoy.

Wash off mud and road salt after use. Almont recommends pressure washing at least annually, or two or three times a year for regular muddy or salty use, and checking bolt tightness annually. Follow the fitting instructions when refitting a guard after maintenance.
Frequently asked questions
Which SKU is the 8 mm option?
Choose PDFBRS, labelled HeavyDuty 8mm in our selector. PDFBRS6 is the 6 mm SportDuty option.
Can I fit these with hand tools alone?
Fitting includes TIG spot welding of the support to the suspension link, so arrange a professional fitter with welding capability.
Will the plate rust if it gets scraped?
The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
What does the warranty cover?
Three years against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
