Give the underside of your Ranger protection for rougher tracks
Rocks, ruts and uneven ground put vulnerable components underneath your Ranger in the path of the terrain. The ARB Under Vehicle Protection kit adds shaped 3 mm steel panels below the specified Mk8 Double Cab, protecting the covered areas while attaching securely to the chassis and crossmembers. It is a useful upgrade when your trips take you beyond smooth roads.
SKU: XVU5440300
Protection where the terrain can reach
The kit uses three vehicle-specific panels and a rear crossmember. The front, crankcase and transmission sections provide coverage along the underside from the front-bar area towards the transmission. The shaped panels give those covered components a steel barrier against contact, rather than leaving them exposed to the first obstacle beneath the vehicle.
Shaped steel, rather than a flat sheet
Laser-cut, pressed and folded 3 mm steel gives the panels their shape and strength. Return edges stiffen the sections, while zinc plating and a silver textured powder coating protect the steel finish. The vehicle-specific mounting places the panels against the frame and crossmember layout they are designed for.
Fixings protected from the ground
Recessed mounting bolts are less exposed to direct contact and can be removed for vehicle servicing. The panels need to come off where required to reach drain plugs and other service points, then be refitted correctly. That is also a useful time to clear trapped debris and inspect for impact damage.
Compatible equipment at the front
The specified Ranger UVP installation is compatible with or without an ARB front bar. It also accommodates the matching ARB recovery points 2840060 and 2840070. Other bar designs have not been verified for this kit, so compatibility with them should not be assumed.
Look after it after a hard trip
Clear accumulated mud and debris, inspect the panels and mounting points after a significant impact, and repair damaged coating where appropriate. Underbody protection reduces exposure at the areas it covers; careful driving and the vehicle's weight and clearance limits still matter.

Frequently asked questions
Does it need an ARB bull bar?
The specified installation works with or without an ARB front bar. If you have a different bar, its mounting points and clearances need to suit the UVP kit.
What is supplied?
The UVP system comprises three shaped protection panels and a rear crossmember for the specified vehicle application.
Will it cover the entire underside?
It protects the front, crankcase and transmission sections covered by the fitted panels. Other areas, such as the fuel tank, need their own matched protection.
Can the vehicle still be serviced?
The panels can be removed and refitted for access to the drain plugs and other service points. Recessed fixings help protect the bolt heads from contact.
Which recovery points are compatible?
The matching ARB recovery points are 2840060 and 2840070. Recovery-point and bar compatibility must suit the complete vehicle installation.
