A Ranger used for work or touring sees plenty of ground that can reach its underside. This Almont guard protects the gearbox and transfer case on the listed PX4 T8 2.0 TDCi application, giving you an 8 mm duralumin barrier beneath the transmission. It is the four-cylinder diesel version and fits with the matching front guard.

The engine version matters when choosing a transmission guard. This 12 kg HeavyDuty plate is specifically for the listed 2.0 TDCi, rather than the V6 or hybrid references. It gives the centre driveline a substantial barrier for ruts, rocky tracks and rough site access.
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength alloy protection without the material weight of steel of the same size and thickness. The plate will not develop red rust if its surface is scratched, so it is a good choice for a vehicle you intend to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.
