Towing, low-speed off-road work and performance driving can keep an automatic transmission working hard for long stretches. This Fenix kit gives the Ranger Raptor a dedicated 19-row oil cooler, with the lines and brackets to fit it as a complete installation.
Developed with CTB Performance, it bypasses the original transmission oil cooler without requiring that unit to be removed. The black finish and purpose-made mounting keep the extra hardware neatly integrated.
The 19-row drawn-cup core measures 220 × 140 × 50 mm, with an overall cooler body of 328 × 140 × 50 mm. Braided-sheath -8AN hose and CNC hose ends connect it through the supplied bypass bracket.
Transmission temperatures were up to 15% lower in Fenix dyno testing. We recommend choosing the cooler around the loads and conditions your Raptor regularly handles.
Allow for one litre of additional manufacturer-specified transmission fluid and professional installation. The intercooler and any upgraded engine radiator are separate.
The original oil cooler stays physically in place and is bypassed using the CNC bracket. The new cooler therefore takes over that cooling route through the supplied bypass connections.
The fitter needs to route and secure the new hoses, check the bypass connections, add the correct fluid and verify the final level. Plan clearances alongside an aftermarket intercooler, front protection or other cooling accessories.
Keep the cooler face clear, inspect the hoses for rubbing and check the fittings during servicing. If gearbox temperatures or shifts have changed unexpectedly, have the cause diagnosed as well; a cooler is not a cure for every transmission problem.
