A Raptor's rear dampers are a big part of what makes the truck special, and they sit exposed at the back axle where fast gravel work fires stones straight at them. These Almont dual skid plates put EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin between the rear shock absorbers and that debris - one plate for each unit - so a day of hard running does not end with a dented body or a leaking damper. Compared with leaving the shocks bare, it is a small, targeted piece of cover for one of the most expensive components under the truck.
Choose the duty first: Almont points lighter, occasional off-road use at 6 mm and heavier trucks or hard continental touring at 8 mm. Some Almont shock and rear-axle plates fix with a bracket that needs TIG weld spots rather than bolts alone, so confirm the fitting method with us before booking an installer. These plates cover the rear dampers specifically - most owners run them alongside the rear differential plate, and they sit naturally in a build that also includes the 40 mm lift kit.

Almont recommends 6 mm for lighter off-road use and 8 mm for heavier vehicles and sustained rough-country work, and states its 8 mm spec is 30% more resistant than 6 mm. If the truck lives on fast stony tracks, take the 8 mm.
