Between the axles is where a Raptor grounds out: crests, rock ledges and rutted climbs all rake along the transmission line, and the gearbox and transfer case sit right in the firing line. This Almont plate for the Ford Ranger Raptor 2019-2022 covers that area with 12 kg of 8 mm EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin, so the scrape you hear over a crest is plate doing its job rather than the casings that keep you moving. For a truck that gets driven hard off the tarmac, it is far cheaper insurance than a transmission repair.
This plate is for the 2019-2022 generation; 2023+ Raptors take their own version, so check the year before ordering. On many models Almont links the gearbox plate's mountings to the matching front plate, so if you are not already running the Raptor front skid plate, ask us about the mounting requirement first. Raised suspension is fine; body lift kits and modified transmission mounts are not. Many owners finish the rear of the driveline with the rear differential plate.

Almont's guidance is a pressure wash once a year - two or three times if you drive salty or very muddy ground - and an annual check of bolt tightness.
