A Ranger's fuel tank rides low between the chassis rails, and a loaded bed or a braked trailer presses it closer to every stone and crest on the route. This Almont fuel tank skid plate for the Ford Ranger PX4 T8 V6 3.0 and 2.0 TDCi from 2023 hangs 15 kg of certified EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin in 6 mm SportDuty grade under the tank. A drag-over that would split plastic and strand the truck leaves a scar on aluminium instead, and the trip carries on.
The tank is the one underside component with no tolerance for punctures, which is why Almont gives it a full-size plate rather than a strip guard. It bolts to Ford's original chassis holes with steel mounting brackets and pre-installed bolts, mounts designed to absorb impacts and vibration. Ahead of it, the PX4 front skid plate takes first contact, and the rear differential plate finishes the run at the axle.
