The gearbox and transfer case hang low in the middle of a Ranger's chassis, exactly where rocky crests, deep ruts and site debris make contact first. This Almont plate for the petrol Ford Ranger PX4 T8 V6 3.0 2023+ bolts 8 mm of EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin under that midsection, so ground strikes land on a replaceable plate instead of the transmission's casings. One hard hit out on a lane can mean a recovery, a stripped gearbox and a truck off the road for weeks; the plate is there to take that hit for you.
This is the petrol V6 3.0 version; 4IL 2.0 TdCi trucks take the separate diesel gearbox and transfer plate. On many models Almont links the gearbox plate's mountings to the matching PX4 front skid plate, so plan the pair together and ask us before running this plate on its own. Raised suspension is fine, but Almont plates cannot be fitted to trucks with a body lift kit or modified transmission mounts. Check bolt tightness once a year and pressure-wash after salty or very muddy trips.

The steel brackets and bolts come in the box, and typical fitting tools across the Almont range are 17 mm and 13 mm spanners or sockets plus 5 mm and 6 mm Allen keys. Fitting instructions are included; if you are unsure, use a professional fitter.
