Moving the intake higher helps reduce exposure to the dust and splash around a lower intake. The air ram separates rainwater from the incoming air stream before it reaches the snorkel body. Your existing air filter still handles engine filtration, so normal filter inspection remains part of looking after the vehicle.
The V-Spec design is tested to match the original engine's air-intake requirements. Its traditional 3.5-inch air ram and model-specific ducting make it a practical choice when you want the raised intake for touring and off-road use.
