A Bronco Raptor is built to carry speed across bad ground, and speed is what turns loose stone into shrapnel. The rear dampers sit in the path of everything the tyres throw and everything the terrain reaches up with, and a dented or leaking shock body ends the fun immediately. This Almont kit shields both rear shocks with plates cut from EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin, offered in SportDuty 6mm or HeavyDuty 8mm, both sides included in one kit.

No. Almont states TIG weld spots are needed to attach the bracket, so book a fitter with welding capability and plan it alongside other underside work.
Almont's guidance: 6mm suits lighter use, 8mm suits heavy trucks and sustained abuse over rock and desert. For a Raptor used hard, 8mm is the natural pick; both cover the same area.
