Filtered manifold above expected water level; connections and routing suit the vehicle
Manifold material
Anodised billet aluminium
Air filter
Splash-resistant, with washable high-flow sintered-bronze cartridge
Give your drivetrain a better chance when the track gets wet
Hot differentials cool rapidly when you enter water, and that change can draw contaminants past low-mounted breathers or seals. The ARB 170112 kit moves the breathing point to a higher, filtered location, helping protect the oil and components you depend on when travelling off-road.
SKU: XADS170112
Why the higher breather matters
Drivetrain housings need to breathe as the air inside heats and cools. The open-flow manifold lets them equalise pressure through a common filter, rather than relying on a low one-way breather. Position the filter above the water level you expect to encounter; it is the installation height that provides the benefit. The compact manifold is anodised billet aluminium, with a splash-resistant filter and washable sintered-bronze cartridge.
Two assemblies now, room for four
The manifold accepts up to four breather lines. The supplied fittings and eight metres of 8 mm polyethylene tube cover at least two drivetrain assemblies; additional fittings and tube are needed to connect more. The larger tube helps resist blockage when oil enters a line during off-camber driving.
What comes in the kit
You get the manifold, air-filter assembly, four 8 mm to 1/8-inch BSP push-in fittings, three blanking plugs, eight metres of tubing, two self-tapping screws and 25 cable ties. Existing breather connections determine whether adapters or additional fitting work are needed. Route the tube clear of heat and allow for full suspension travel.

Questions before you order
Frequently asked questions
Does it make my vehicle waterproof?
No. It raises and filters the drivetrain breathing point; it does not seal the rest of your vehicle or increase its wading rating.
Can I connect the gearbox and transfer case?
Yes, suitable drivetrain breathers can share the four-outlet manifold. The supplied material covers at least two assemblies, with extra tube and fittings needed for further connections.
Where should the filter go?
A high, accessible position above the water level you expect to encounter, with the lines kept clear of exhaust heat and moving parts.
