The APEX Design USA TSR High Mount Double Shear Tie Rod Bracket turns a single shear tie rod mount into a double shear one for high mount Through Shaft Ram setups. Double shear is the stronger way to load a joint - the fastener is supported on both sides instead of hanging off one - and on a high mount steering ram working hard off-road, that extra support is exactly where you want it. The bracket welds onto most single shear tie rod clamps, including Apex Chassis and similar designs.
This is a weld-on part, so plan the work with someone competent to weld steering components. Confirm your tie rod clamp is a single shear design the bracket can be welded to, and check the geometry against your high mount ram position before committing to the weld. If you are unsure whether your clamp suits it, check the details before ordering.

A double shear joint supports the bolt on both sides, spreading load that a single shear mount carries on one face. For a high mount ram that works the tie rod hard, it is the stronger arrangement.
No - the bracket is designed to be welded to the tie rod clamp. Treat it as a fabrication job on a steering component and have it done properly.
