The Nostrum Audi EA837 3.0 TFSI Supercharged V6 High Pressure Fuel Pump is the direct-injection pump upgrade for the supercharged 3.0 in the B8 S4, S5, SQ5, Q5, A6 and A7. It carries a larger diameter piston than the factory pump, giving 33% more displacement and a flow capacity of over 350 lph, in a stainless steel laser welded body that is flow and function tested so there are no leak paths through the high pressure side. On a pulleyed or heavily mapped supercharged V6 the standard pump is what starts to run thin as rail demand climbs, particularly on ethanol, and this is the part that removes that limit. It is a single pump supplied with OEM fittings and the hardware, electrical connectors and accessories needed to fit it.
Fuelling on this engine is deceptive. It pulls hard from low revs, so the pump spends a long time near its limit rather than briefly touching it at the top of a pull. More displacement per revolution means the pump is not fighting to keep up in the mid-range, which is exactly where a supercharged V6 does its work.
This pump is for the earlier CAJA and CCAA supercharged V6. The later EVO engines with CREA and CREC codes use a different pump that Nostrum states is not interchangeable, and that is the EA837 EVO HPFP kit. Get the engine code straight before ordering; the badge on the back of the car will not tell you which one you have.
Nostrum lists this pump as not requiring a tune in itself and names HP Tuners as the recommended calibration platform, but any build that actually uses the extra capacity needs a calibration written around it, so speak to your tuner before fitting.
