Rough access tracks can put the steering and radiators under the nose of your X-Class close to rocks and ruts. This 8 mm Almont front guard gives those components substantial duralumin protection, with a shape made for the original bumper.

The guard weighs 11.5 kg and uses certified AW5083 H111 duralumin. You get a thick, high-strength barrier beneath the front of the truck, with an alloy plate that will not develop red rust where the surface gets scratched.
The material is a large part of what makes Almont protection worth considering. Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin combines high strength with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, helping it stay a worthwhile long-term addition to your vehicle. Mud and road salt should still be washed off, including from the separate steel brackets and fixings.

To protect farther back, add the separate X-Class engine guard for your 2.3 CDI or 3.0 V6 CDI. For an X250 4x4 from 2017-2020, the separate X250 AdBlue guard protects the AdBlue area.
Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
