Your Wrangler's transfer case is central to its off-road capability. This Almont 6 mm duralumin guard protects it from rough-ground contact on the five-door JL 4xe from 2022, helping you enjoy the drive with more reassurance underneath.

The 8 kg SportDuty guard covers the transfer case, rather than the gearbox farther forward or the fuel tank behind it. That makes it a useful addition when you want to extend your 4xe's underbody protection one area at a time.
The material is a large part of what makes Almont protection worth considering. Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin combines high strength with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, helping it stay a worthwhile long-term addition to your vehicle. Mud and road salt should still be washed off, including from the separate steel brackets and fixings.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

This is the five-door 4xe guard from 2022. Diesel JL transfer guards are separate products with their own body-length choices.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
