Your Wrangler 4xe has more underneath to look after than a conventional petrol Jeep. This Almont 6 mm duralumin guard protects the lithium-battery compartment area on the JL 4xe from 2021, giving you a substantial barrier for rough-ground driving.

The SportDuty plate weighs 9.5 kg and uses certified AW5083 H111 duralumin. It protects a different component from the gearbox, transfer case or fuel tank guards, making it a useful addition when you want to look after the specific underbody equipment of your 4xe.
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength alloy protection without the material weight of steel of the same size and thickness. The plate will not develop red rust if its surface is scratched, so it is a good choice for a vehicle you intend to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.

For the five-door 4xe, the separate fuel tank guard protects the original fuel tank. The 4xe gearbox guard protects the gearbox separately; neither is included with this battery-area plate.
Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.
