The guard protects the engine, gearbox, cooling and steering area on the 2002-2013 Vivaro. At 14 kg, the SportDuty plate gives you a substantial alloy barrier for rough working yards and access tracks, whether the van carries tools or your camping equipment.
The material is a large part of what makes Almont protection worth considering. Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin combines high strength with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, helping it stay a worthwhile long-term addition to your vehicle. Mud and road salt should still be washed off, including from the separate steel brackets and fixings.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.
