Whether your Vito is carrying work equipment or taking you away for the weekend, a damaged component underneath can ruin more than the drive. This 6 mm duralumin front and transfer protection guards the cooling system, steering, starter, gearbox and other components detailed below. PDMBVA6-7G is the version for the 2014-2020 W447 4x4 application.

The plate uses certified AW5083 H111 duralumin, a high-strength aluminium alloy that weighs less than steel of the same size and thickness. That makes sense on a van already carrying tools, a camper conversion or everything for a week away. You get a substantial guard underneath while keeping the extra weight down.
The duralumin plate won't rust when its surface gets scratched, and its natural oxide layer helps it resist corrosion. It's a useful long-term benefit on a van you use through wet winters as well as summer trips. An ordinary scrape doesn't leave the plate with exposed steel to start rusting.
The 6 mm SportDuty plate suits recreational off-roading and overlanding where you want protection while keeping added weight down. It's the lighter of Almont's 6 mm and 8 mm protection ranges.

If your Vito is a 2021-onwards W447 4x4 with 9G-Tronic, choose our PDMBVA6-9G plate. Match the plate to both your van's generation and gearbox.
The plate bolts into your vehicle's original holes and threads using the supplied steel supports and fixings, with no need to drill new mounting holes. The certificate/instruction manual is included to guide the installation. Raised suspension is compatible when the original mounting points remain in place.
The plate needs the original chassis, frame, axle and suspension-stay anchors, transmission mounts and stabiliser-bar supports. Body lifts and diff-drop kits change that relationship and are incompatible.

The 2021-onwards 9G-Tronic application uses PDMBVA6-9G. PDMBVA6-7G on this page is the 2014-2020 version.
Your skid plate comes with matching steel mounting supports, pre-installed fixings, a certificate and instruction manual, and an Almont sticker.
Give the plate a pressure wash once a year, or two or three times a year if you use it in muddy or salty conditions. Check the fixings for tightness annually as well. Follow the supplied instructions when refitting it after maintenance.
Almont's three-year warranty covers cracking of the protection itself. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
