PDTTA8 adds an 8 mm HeavyDuty duralumin plate under your Tundra XK50, covering the steering bars, cooling system, front differential and engine. It is a substantial addition for a truck you want to keep using and enjoying.

Made from certified AW5083 H111 duralumin, the plate combines high strength with less weight than steel of the same size and thickness. It's a useful balance on a pickup that already carries tools, passengers or camping gear. You can add serious protection underneath without adding unnecessary weight to every journey.
The duralumin plate won't rust, including where the surface gets scraped. Its natural oxide layer helps it resist corrosion, so you aren't left worrying about red rust on the plate after every trip. That matters for something working out of sight underneath your truck all year.
At 8 mm thick, this HeavyDuty plate is our choice for heavier vehicles and demanding long-distance trips over rough ground. It puts a substantial barrier beneath the components listed below.
Almont has made underbody protection since 1992, drawing on advice from vehicle preparers involved in the Dakar Rally and other rally-raid competition. You are paying for that specialist background as well as the certified alloy and the fit for your truck. It's the kind of protection we'd choose for a pickup we work hard and enjoy using off road.
The plate bolts into your vehicle's original holes and threads using the supplied steel supports and fixings, with no need to drill new mounting holes. The certificate/instruction manual is included to guide the installation. Raised suspension is compatible when the original mounting points remain in place.
The plate needs the original chassis, frame, axle and suspension-stay anchors, transmission mounts and stabiliser-bar supports. Body lifts and diff-drop kits change that relationship and are incompatible.

PDTTA8 fits the XK50 generation from 2007 onwards. Use the XK50 model designation when choosing the plate for your truck.
Your skid plate comes with matching steel mounting supports, pre-installed fixings, a certificate and instruction manual, and an Almont sticker.
Give the plate a pressure wash once a year, or two or three times a year if you use it in muddy or salty conditions. Check the fixings for tightness annually as well. Follow the supplied instructions when refitting it after maintenance.
Almont's three-year warranty covers cracking of the protection itself. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
